9 - 13 November 2026

This Seasonal School is conceived as the second edition of the International Summer School for Humans & Technologies, first organised at Chemnitz University of Technology in 2023. Building on the success of that initiative, the programme brings together students and staff from ACROSS partner universities to explore the role of Artificial Intelligence in education from a strongly integrated European and cross-border perspective.

The five-day intensive programme combines lectures, workshops, and project-based learning within an interdisciplinary environment where education and pedagogy, computer science, engineering, media and communication, tourism, architecture, business, social sciences and creative disciplines converge. Participants work throughout the week in international and multidisciplinary teams, fostering peer learning, intercultural exchange, critical reflection, and collaborative problem-solving. Particular emphasis is placed on developing critical AI literacy, practical competences, and ethical awareness through hands-on experiences and sustained international collaboration.

The Seasonal School is jointly organised by the University of Girona (Spain), Technische Universität Chemnitz (Germany), the University of Perpignan (France), the University of Ruse (Bulgaria), the University of Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and the University of Udine (Italy). Through this international collaboration, the programme aims to provide students with a holistic and critical understanding of AI in contemporary European education and society while strengthening intercultural dialogue and cross-border academic cooperation.
